Adding forecasts or projections to your plans in Telemetry can be done in two ways

  1. In Telemetry - We’ll generate a plan using data from your ERP. You can then customize your display and forecast settings on Telemetry.

  2. From Existing Spreadsheet Plan - Keep your pre-existing plan in your preferred software using our plugin. Use all of Telemetry’s features without having to change your process.

1. Forecasting In Telemetry

If you created your plan in Telemetry, you can easily add your forecast by going to the plan overview page, then clicking the forecast button in the upper right. (Note, you will not see this button if you have turned forecasts off in the plan settings.)

To add/edit or remove forecasts, click the forecast button in the upper right corner of the statement overview. Then select the type of forecast you want to set.

You can edit multiple forecasts at the same time by clicking on the toggle in the upper right corner and selecting the checkbox next to the line items you want to build forecasts for.

After the end of the month, the plan will display a "Pending Close" button. Clicking it will re-run the forecast formulas and allow you to preview the changes. If you want to manage the plan in a spreadsheet?

You will need to create a new plan via the Excel or Google plugins to manage via spreadsheets. The easiest way to do this is to download plan using the download icon in the upper left corner of the tables. From there, use the Excel or Google Sheet plugin to create a new plan and map the line items

2. Forecasting From Existing Spreadsheet Plan

Forecasting from Excel or Google sheets is accomplished through the mapping exercise when setting up your plan. Any updates after that initial connection can simply be published to the platform.
